1. Stripe Connected Account
Seller payout services are provided through Stripe Connect or another disclosed payment provider. By setting up payout, you agree to the applicable Stripe Connected Account Agreement and authorize ACar and Stripe to collect information needed for identity, tax, fraud, and payout compliance. You may set up your payout account at any time — including while building your listing — but payout is released only when the release conditions below are met.
2. Banking and Tax Information
You must provide accurate legal name, address, date of birth, bank account, taxpayer, and verification information. Stripe may require SSN, EIN, or additional information. Stripe and/or ACar may issue tax forms, including Form 1099-K, when required by IRS rules then in effect. Payouts are made to the verified payout account of the vehicle's titled owner or, for entity-titled vehicles, to the account ACar approves for the entity.
3. Payout Release Conditions
ACar may release seller payout only after disclosed transaction conditions are satisfied, including buyer payment settlement, pickup or delivery confirmation, signed documents, title and every required owner signature, lien review, payoff handling, tax/fee allocation, fraud review, and ACar operations approval. For a buyer-funded transaction, payout remains held for 24 hours after documented buyer handoff so ACar can review a timely report of fraud, a stolen or substituted vehicle, VIN or identity mismatch, undisclosed ownership, lien, title, odometer, flood, frame, total-loss, serious mechanical or safety issue, or another material difference from the listing or seller's written disclosures. This review is not a buyer-remorse return right and has no mileage condition. ACar may delay release if a dispute, suspected fraud, chargeback risk, title issue, lien issue, odometer issue, or legal hold exists.
4. Timing
If no covered handoff issue is timely reported and all other release conditions are satisfied, seller payout becomes eligible when the 24-hour review and all other release conditions are complete, and ACar will promptly submit the payout instruction. ACH settlement, Stripe review, bank posting, holidays, lienholder delays, title issues, chargebacks, and lawful manual review can extend the date funds appear in your bank.
5. Disputes and Reversals
If a buyer, bank, payment processor, regulator, lienholder, or court disputes or reverses a transaction, ACar may cooperate with Stripe, seek documentation from you, delay payout, reverse an unpaid payout, or pursue recovery as allowed by law and the applicable agreements.
6. Payment-Services Role
ACar is not a bank. Payout and payment processing are provided through Stripe and banking partners. ACar controls release instructions for certain transactions as disclosed in the transaction terms, but Stripe and banking partners control settlement, verification, payout rails, holds, and account restrictions under their own rules.
